Carnelian is the orange-red member of the agate family and has been used as a seal and ornamental stone since ancient times, from Anatolia to Mesopotamia. In the Carnelian Fire Imperial Set, Sırlı Sepet pairs this warm tone with silver details.

Carnelian is a microcrystalline quartz from the chalcedony family, in the agate group. It gets its orange and red tones from the iron oxide in its structure, and appears translucent when held to the light. It is a durable stone. Traditionally, it is cited as a symbol of vitality and courage.
