Prayers and symbols

Meaning within simplicity.

In some jewelry, the meaning is hidden on the unseen side. In the Plain Outside model, Sırlı Sepet deliberately keeps the outer surface simple and handcrafts the prayers onto the inner surface facing the skin.

Ayat al-Kursi

It is verse 255 of Surah Al-Baqarah. It describes Allah's oneness, that He is ever-living and the sustainer of all things, and that His power encompasses the heavens and the earth.

Surah Ash-Sharh

The 94th surah of the Quran. It is known for its verses declaring that with every hardship comes ease.

Al-Falaq and An-Nas

These are the last two surahs of the Quran. They are about seeking refuge in Allah and are known together as the Mu'awwidhatayn.

Surah Al-Ikhlas

The 112th surah of the Quran. It tells that Allah is One, neither begets nor is begotten, and has no equal.

Surah Al-Fatiha

The first surah of the Quran. It is recited in every rak'ah of the prayer and is also known as Umm al-Kitab.

Seal of Solomon

A seal attributed to Prophet Solomon. It has often been used as a decorative motif in Islamic art and handicrafts.

Nal-i Sharif

A depiction representing the Prophet's sandal. In Ottoman calligraphy and illumination, it is worked as an expression of love and reverence.

Kufic Allah inscription

The word "Allah" written in the angular, geometric Kufic calligraphy style.

A qasida-prayer attributed to Imam Ali, found in traditional prayer compendiums.
